Biography
Ryan Martin is an Associate in the San Francisco office of GHB. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation and class actions.
Prior to joining GHB, Ryan practiced at Bursor & Fisher PA, where he gained valuable experience at all phases of litigation. His work included drafting complaints and briefs, giving oral argument in both federal and state court, conducting legal research, and developing new case theories. Earlier, Ryan interned with the San Francisco City Attorney's Office on the Public Utilities Team, where he researched and analyzed federal environmental statutes and advised on case-specific legal questions.
During law school, Ryan served as a Torts Teaching Fellow at UC Law SF, providing academic support and writing feedback to first-year law students. He also conducted legal research for professors focused on environmental law, including rewilding and habitat restoration policy and water district governance.
Ryan earned his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), graduating cum laude with a concentration in Environmental Law. He was a member of the Honors Society, served as Senior Production Editor of the UC Law Journal, and was Co-President of the Hastings Environmental Law Association. Prior to law school, Ryan earned his B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management with a minor in Business from the W.A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University, and studied Sustainable Business and Hotel Management at the Internationale Hochschule of Applied Sciences in Bad Honnef, Germany. He is also a certified yoga instructor.
Ryan is admitted to practice in California.
